WIN THIS BRAND NEW GUITAR TODAY FOR 99P

The Gibson Les Paul™ Special was designed as an enhanced version of the Les Paul Junior, featuring two P-90 pickups compared to the Junior’s single P-90 pickup for increased sonic flexibility. It also added fretboard binding and a mother-of-pearl headstock logo, giving it a bit more visual appeal as well and creating an intermediate model that sat between the fancier Les Paul Standard and the Les Paul Junior in the product lineup. The Les Paul Special was first released as a single-cutaway model in 1955, but by 1958, it had transitioned to a double-cutaway body, offering improved access to the upper range of the fretboard. A change to a thinner SlimTaper™ neck profile and lower rhythm pickup positioning in 1960 brought improved neck stability and made it easier to play than ever.

Now, Epiphone is proud to introduce the Les Paul Special Double Cut Figured. It retains all the features that make the Les Paul Special eminently playable and elevates its visual appeal to the next level. It features a Les Paul Special double cutaway mahogany body and caps it with a beautiful AAA figured maple veneer. Additionally, the top is also bound. The mahogany neck has a fast-playing SlimTaper profile and is topped with a bound rosewood fretboard that is equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets and adorned with acrylic dot position marker inlays. The 60s Kalamazoo headstock is outfitted with Grover® Rotomatic® tuners and features the Epiphone logo inlaid in mother-of-pearl. The electronics are also different than what you’ll find on most Les Paul Specials. Instead of the usual P-90 single coil pickups, the Les Paul Special Double Cut Figured is equipped with a pair of Epiphone’s acclaimed ProBucker™ humbucking pickups, with a ProBucker 2 in the neck position and a slightly hotter ProBucker 3 in the bridge position for blistering solos. Both pickups are wired to individual volume and tone controls, along with a three-way toggle switch for excellent tonal control and versatility. The Les Paul Special Double Cut Figured comes packed in a premium gig bag to help keep it safe when traveling.

How are winners chosen?

Live Draws – Every one of our Live Draws can be watched on our Facebook and YouTube page. We use a random number generator to determine the winner. If a competition does not sell out and the random number generator returns an unsold ticket number, we will generate a new number until we have a winner. We prove our streams are live by being interactive and reading comments. We love to talk with you all about guitars, gear and music.

Instant Wins – Instant Win comps have a pre-determined list of prizes with ticket numbers. If your ticket numbers for that competition match any on the list, you instantly win that prize. End draws are either a Live Draw or Auto Draw; this will be shown on the competition page.

Auto Draws – Auto draws are automatically drawn using the Think Zap random draw algorithm. The Auto Draw will take place as soon as a prize is sold out OR on the guaranteed draw date/time shown on the prize page. All prizes have a guaranteed draw date and winner regardless of ticket sellout.

What if a competition doesn’t sell out?

All of our competitions have a guaranteed winner, regardless of whether it sells out. If a competition does not sell out and the random number generator returns an unsold ticket number, we will generate a new number until we have a winner.
