This amp continues to impress us so much we just had to do another one! It ticks a lot of boxes for us. Special Run model, stacks of tone, great build quality?
Building on the phenomenal success of the original Tone Master Deluxe comes this new Limited Edition Blonde version with Oxblood grill. Far more than a cosmetic exercise, the Blonde Deluxe has been fitted with a Celestion® NEO Creamback (still as light as the original’s Jensen!) and comes with new IR’s and firmware updates, making this outstanding amp even better.
The backbone comes in the form of the 100-watt digital power amp. This delivers both the renowned dynamic range and headroom of an authentic vintage deluxe tube amp. A Celestion NEO Creamback speaker delivers the same iconic rock sound of the ’60s that became a staple of the genre, while the pine cabinet enhances your tone with improved resonance. This all creates a tubeless deluxe reverb tone with the same great dynamics and punchy volume that made the all-tube original version just so good.
A modification comes in the form of the removed virtual bright cap located on the vibrato channel. This ensures further tonal options if you’re working regularly with overdrive and/or distortion pedals. Reverb is also far easier to dial in on the amp when you’re operating at lower settings too.
Modern features have then been included on the back. These encompass five attenuated settings, a balanced XLR line output (with impulse response cab simulations), an output power selector, a USB port and a mute switch – which comes in handy for recording and live situations. All of these allow for the current-day convenience you’re used to, all the while retaining the timeless Fender stylings of the past. The amp is actually only around half the weight of an all-tube deluxe too!
