HYBRID RECORDING

The Zoom R8 is a portable hard disc multitrack recorder with an outstanding set of features. Bringing the concept of the 4-track machine into the 21st century by adding built-in microphones, guitar tuner, effects, sampling and 2 TRS/XLR combi inputs with 8 tracks of playback, plus the ability to run on batteries, the R8 completely blows what was previously possible with a standalone recorder out of the water.

R8 features 2 combination inputs that are suitable with XLR microphones and instrument jacks. Phantom power is available on both inputs for use with condenser microphones, while channel 1 can be switched to a Hi-Z input for use with guitars.

The high-quality stereo microphones mean you’re ready to record even without a mic plugged in. This is great for capturing ideas when they appear in the moment.

In addition to recording direct to SD card, R8 also works as an 2-in/2-out audio interface. Offering you high-quality 24-bit/96kHz audio into your favourite DAW.

R8 has the ability to run on 4 AA batteries for true portable recording.

How are winners chosen?

Live Draws – Every one of our Live Draws can be watched on our Facebook and YouTube page. We use a random number generator to determine the winner. If a competition does not sell out and the random number generator returns an unsold ticket number, we will generate a new number until we have a winner. We prove our streams are live by being interactive and reading comments. We love to talk with you all about guitars, gear and music.

Instant Wins – Instant Win comps have a pre-determined list of prizes with ticket numbers. If your ticket numbers for that competition match any on the list, you instantly win that prize. End draws are either a Live Draw or Auto Draw; this will be shown on the competition page.

Auto Draws – Auto draws are automatically drawn using the Think Zap random draw algorithm. The Auto Draw will take place as soon as a prize is sold out OR on the guaranteed draw date/time shown on the prize page. All prizes have a guaranteed draw date and winner regardless of ticket sellout.

What if a competition doesn’t sell out?

All of our competitions have a guaranteed winner, regardless of whether it sells out. If a competition does not sell out and the random number generator returns an unsold ticket number, we will generate a new number until we have a winner.

Who can enter the competitions?

You must be 18 years or older to enter, as well as a resident of the UK or Northern Ireland.
